Billy was born on September 4, 1953, in Lynn Massachusetts to Normand Alfred Gautreau and Claire Lucille (Saulnier) Gautreau. In 1966, Billy moved to McAllen, Texas with his family. During his life, he also lived on South Padre Island, Texas and in Silverthorne, Colorado. Billy married Pam and they had three children: Jacob Nelson, Jade Ashley and Samuel Cole. Billy and Pam have two grandchildren: William Jacob and Weston James.
Some of Billy’s fondest memories were of his roots in Lynn, Massachusetts. He always said his years growing up in the Fay Estate could not have been more perfect - “Best childhood ever!”
As a youth, Billy’s favorite pastime was sports – baseball to be exact. In fact, as an adult, his favorite vacation spots were any baseball stadium in the country. It was a natural fit when Billy eventually opened and operated his family’s Sports Club. Baseball was certainly not the only sport of interest to Billy; he also played racquetball and was a Texas State Doubles Racquetball Champion along with his brother Tommy, in 1983. Aside from sports, Billy had a talent for imitating any accent. He was the best storyteller. His siblings always felt he missed his calling and should have pursued a career as a standup comic.
Billy had so much to be proud of, but his greatest pride was being the dad of his three amazing children.
Billy passed away in 2011 at the age of 58 and will be forever missed by his family and his many friends.
