Donna Marie Compton

Donna Marie (Lord) Compton was born on January 12, 1958, in Lynn, Massachusetts to Richard (Dick) and Victorine (Vicky) (Gautreau) Lord. She grew up in Lynn (in the Fay Estate) and now resides in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Donna married Gene (Gino) Compton and they had two children: Nicole and Christopher. Donna has two wonderful grandchildren: Luke and Juliet.

As for hidden interests and talents – thanks to the tutelage of her mother, Vicky - Donna is quite skilled at crocheting Afghans. However, Donna’s favorite pastime is being with her grandchildren. She feels quite fortunate to live within 10 minutes of Luke and Juliet and for lots of opportunity to spend quality time with them. In fact, Donna’s best vacation memories as a young teen - and later with her children - were of Disneyworld. In October 2021, she will again be enjoying Disneyworld, this time with Luke and Juliet...and the joyful tradition continues.

Unquestionably, Donna’s proudest accomplishment is raising her two children who have both grown into wonderful adults.

In January of 2022, Donna looks forward to a well-deserved retirement from her career with the City of Gloucester and to spending time on Marco Island in Florida and with her children and grandchildren.
