Linda (Gautreau) Monaghan was born on September 12, 1967, in Lynn, Massachusetts to Edmond and Jean (Murphy) Gautreau. She moved with her family to McAllen, Texas when she was 5 – and at age 11, to Albuquerque, New Mexico. After college, Linda moved to Chandler, Arizona, where she still lives today. Linda married Michael (Mike) Monaghan and they have two children: Daniel and Kelli.
In her spare time, Linda enjoys baking, reading, walking, swimming laps, crafting, gardening, and decorating her home. Linda is also an avid scrapbooker. Not only does she enjoy scrapbooking, Linda believes it’s a great way to preserve her family memories and create future keepsakes for her children.
As for Linda’s life accomplishments, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Dietetics. She has worked in the Chandler Unified School District as an administration assistant, substitute teacher, para-professional, and conducts progress monitor testing for the students. Linda has quite the creative side. One of her “creative” passions is floral design. After college, Linda pursued her master certification in floral design and management. Linda also operated a successful floral shop for several years. Linda’s greatest accomplishment - hands down - is raising her two wonderful children: Kelli, currently in college and Daniel, a recent college graduate.
The causes near and dear to Linda’s heart are the Leukemia fund and Juvenile Diabetes, having close friends who were impacted by both of these diseases.
Linda has traveled to many wonderful destinations with her family: summers at the Jersey Shore; New York City to attend the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; Boston, to see family and catch a Boston Red Sox game, Chicago; castles in Ireland; an Alaska cruise; Cancun, Mexico; various wine countries, lots of big amusement parks; and and even the Vatican in Rome, Italy, to attend the ordination of a family member as a Cardinal by the Pope. Linda has checked off much of her travel bucket list, but her ultimate travel goal is to visit every state in the U.S. (she only has 23 states to go).
